Learning goals

On completion of the course, participants will be able to describe the essential principles and activities of strategy and change management. They will be able to formulate clear and action-oriented recommendations for companies and organisations on how to deal with unexpected events depending on the respective strategic, innovation, financial and risk management-related situation at their organisation. Participants will be able to transfer their acquired knowledge to successfully master challenging situations and confidently manage complex transformation programs.

Introduction to Strategic & Change Management

• Basic model of strategic management

Analysing the Environment

• Challenges in a rapidly changing world

Formulation of unique strategies

• Formulating corporate and business strategies

Strategy Execution & Monitoring

• Designing the change management

Real-World Examples of Strategic & Change Management Initiatives

• Preparing a written case analysis and oral presentation

In this course a combination of lectures, group and individual work as well as practical exercises are alternated.

Target group

The course is designed for executives, managers and entrepreneurs who want to learn more about techniques of attack and defence of successful programs of strategy and transformation.

This course is recognized as Bildungszeit according to paragraph § 10 (5) of the Berliner Bildungszeitgesetz (BiZeitG).

Prerequisites

• At least 2 years of work experience
• English level of at least B1 (according to the European Framework)

Dates

March 11 – 13, 2024 (on-site in Berlin).

This course will also be offered in November 2024.
